geog,
chinese, science, math, history
english.
the order in which i got back.
so my worst out of them was math and science.
i did real bad, it gives me a heartache to see them.
a bit of history about me, um..
for p1-3 my grades were 100% for
eng, sci and math. about 95-98 for
chinese.
i was quite hardworking then, i think.
sorry i move on fast and can't remember stuff easily.
though i don't choose to remember stuff.
for me, its: "what's done, done. either restart something again or a new start somewhere else, don't drag a fake continue "
can't stand it when people drag the past ._.
back to topic.
so p4-6 less attention on study, but still okay? this i am not sure.
but i got a good math and science percentile consistently at least.
other subjects were up and down, again based on vague memories.
sec1-2, even less attention on study.
believe or not, for the
eoys i only actually studied the day before the exam.
except for
chinese which i figured i had to study beforehand and succeeded so,
but the others got majorly procrastinated.
soo...
study also means learning things that i had never bothered to understand thoroughly at class.
the odd thing is the marks that were lost were not on a lack of knowledge but carelessness.
carelessness not using this word for show, but really.
esp. math
for example i could still remember a few examples from that even though i don't have the paper now.
-multiply (10x/2) by 4 to get rid of the fractions in the equations turned out as 40x because i failed to see the (/2) at that time.
- for indices, when i simplified y( to the power of 9/3 ), it became y( to the power of 3/3 ( or 1 ) ) because i must have rushed through and divided the 9 by the 3 or something instead of simplifying the 9/3 to just 3.
- for finding surface area of square pyramid when i was calculating the slant side, hypotenuse. it was square root of 15 square + 5 square but i wrote as square root of 15 square + 15 square.
- and for linear equations i forgot to account for the 2 at the other end for e.g. (2x square + 2x + 1 = 2) so it became ( 2x square + 2x +1 = 0 ) and so leading into steps like ( 2x square + 2x = -1 ) i.e. the 2 mysteriously disappeared.
- there were other funny marks like no brackets, huh?, units and etc that i got deducted for.
careless mistake = lack of practice?
have to rethink how i spend my time.
really badly.
anyway, my
gpa should be 3.6 +/- 1 grade.
seriously, i got pulled down 2 grades because of this really bad math paper and 1 from science.
geog was really unlucky because ____. but i don't want to make a fuss over it anymore.
history and
chinese were okay though, in the end. *wry smile*
but for now i just want to concentrate on what to do in the holidays.
i need to get back in routine soon, reading books- halway into "a spot of bother", other etc stuff and a holiday if i'm lucky but i doubt so because father's busy, he chooses not to take leave because of _____ wth. meaning holiday would again be on the june ones next year, which is bad because there are always things on during that time.
ahh, how melancholic.
eh i will do 2 posts.
1 on chalet and etc,
another on results.
chalet was fun.
stuff that first come to mind were:
- bbq, when i heard about clement " starting fires anywhere but the bbq pit"
sadly, i was multitasking teaching xinming to play the tennis game and playing xbox with others then and didn't see. haha
- bbq, when i got down to the oily and sweaty business and cooked for the class later.
- chalet pool and photos, due to the unique design of the pool it was basically, to the many eyes of the public, a guy from the outside ( not the pool area ), taking photos of many guys underwater, who are in trunks and waving at him.
( nevermind if you don't understand )
- activities like bloons, games and shows. for e.g., minglun was showing brandon naruto, then i watched as well. its quite funny 8D i learnt about ninja's rankings, i think there are 3? liked the gaara/sand guy and the dude who manipulates shadow. ^^
- bowling, i really don't have experience in bowling before LAH >:( anyway, it was fun. i didn't do bad and got some nice ( if not lucky ) shots yay. i just got the hang of it as in-- i don't know much about this but if you are a bowler.. the focuses should be on release ( of ball ), swinging arm motion ( follow-through ) and approach, yes? hubert also taught me about the facing of the pins when you release the ball. there was quite a variety of styles in my group that went. ^^ it was enjoyable and a good game to play to "hang out"
some stuff i missed out but these are just stuff that came to mind first.
oh, and i got a couple of blisters on my toes and thumb.
great fun this, i will try to do another post on something 2J related.
just thinking of what to highlight...
but for now, my second promised post.
